Find out why it's the best timber fixing

Superior to coach bolts & threaded rods:

20x Faster, 3x Stronger, & Simply Better

Why choose Joyner Bolts over coach bolts?

It’s quite simple, Joyner Bolts are just a superior alternative to coach bolts. Coach bolts are a generic fixing and were not designed to specifically fix timber together. For the user, the Joyner Bolts are easier to install with just one tool required, whereas coach bolts require two and can be quite fiddly.

The convex, rounded head of the coach bolt makes it challenging to grasp or control once it begins to move, resulting in a loose joint. A loose joint, subjected to shear force on the bolt shank, is prone to failure or breakage. Joyner Bolts, on the other hand, eliminate these issues. The spiked head securely grips the wood, preventing any rotational movement. Consequently, you can apply increased torque to the bolt without encountering problems.

Did we also mention that they also give you a cleaner, more concealable finish than coach bolts. Furthermore, Joyner Bolts are more cost-effective than coach bolts, making them a great choice for any DIY project.

  • Instantly grips

They quickly grasp and secure the timber, allowing for single-handed threading even in the most challenging spaces.

  • Gives flexibility

Unlike other fixings, they can compensate for overdrilled holes, which is particularly useful when joining multiple types of timber.

  • Stops turning heading

They provide optimal torque levels for a secure fixing as they remain firmly fixed within the timber preventing the head from turning.

  • No pull through damage

No matter their size, even with a drilled hole up to 32mm, they cannot be pulled through the timber causing damage and a poor fixing.

  • Easy install saves time

They are quick and easy to use, especially with an impact driver, and result in zero wastage, saving you precious time.

  • Secure fixings everytime

They offer a unique combination of a high-quality fixing with a clean decorative finish that meets all Building Regulation requirements.

How do Joyner Bolts work?

Joyner Bolts are revolutionary spiked timber connectors that are a superior alternative to coach bolts and threaded rods. The bolts can connect two timbers together, for example floor joists, rafters or stud walls. The head of the Joyner bolt can’t be pulled into the timber due to its increased surface area, unlike coach bolts.

The spikes on the head guarantee no turning, loosening or falling out during fixing, and the flat head on the Joyner Bolt means that it will not show through materials such as plasterboard. Washers must be ordered separately to suit each application, as they are 50mm x 50mm x 3mm coated steel, and are available in M10 or M12.

  • M10/M12 x 80

Connects a single timber into structural steel eg. single sided cladding on floor joist or door lintel.

  • M10/M12 x 115

Connects two timber members together eg. floor joists, rafters, stud walls.

  • M10/M12 x 125

Connects two timbers each side of structural steel e.g. floor beams and door lintels.

  • M10/M12 x 180

Connects three timbers together with or without structural steel e.g. floor joists, rafters and stud walls.

  • M10/M12 x 230

Connects four timbers together with or without structural steel e.g. floor joists and rafter
