If you are unsure on the best approach for your project then please contact our team who can advise you further.
What are Joyner Bolts and why should you should use them?
Joyner Bolts are a revolutionary type of timber connector that is a superior alternative to coach bolts and threaded rod. The head of the Joyner Bolt cannot be pulled into the timber due to the increased surface area, unlike coach bolts, whilst the spiked head guarantee no turning, loosening or falling out during fixing. The flat head on the Joyner Bolt also means that it will not show through materials such as plasterboard. These features make Joyner Bolts a great choice for connecting two timber members together and for use in construction projects such as floor joists, rafters or stud walls. Joyner Bolts are strong, secure and reliable, and their unique design makes them easy to install.
What to consider when choosing your fixings?
When choosing fixings, it is important to consider the type of material that needs to be fixed, the size of the fixings, as well as the weight of the material that needs to be fixed.
Additionally, you should consider the environment in which the fixing will be used, as this will determine the type of fixings needed. For example, if the material is being used in a damp environment, it would be important to select a fixing that is corrosion-resistant.
Furthermore, it is important to consider the type of installation required, as some fixings may require specialist tools or techniques for installation. Finally, it is important to ensure that the fixing is suitable for the intended purpose, as some fixings may be suitable for certain applications, but not for others.
